Cpanel - full backup and restore

xevo
How do you restore full backup in cpanel - I see info that you can only do backup not restore.
If I want to move to another webhost do I need to ask the stuff to do it for me or something?
And what if both accounts have different usernames, would that be a problem?

Not sure if this helps or not, here is a link with some info.

But when doing full backup you download 1 file (archive)
I don't see a place where you could actually upload it and do a restore (or I'm too blind to see it)
I know you can for example backup and restore individual databases but if you have more than 5 or 10 it can become quite tedious.

Maybe I should switch to flat-file CMS - you "back it up" by just downloading files via FTP...

Click on "Create/Restore Backups".

Choose what you want backed up and click "Create Backup".

Depending on what you've chosen it can take a while. You'll get an email when it's ready.

Go back into "Create/Restore Backups".

At the bottom you'll see a dropdown with the backups.

Choose the one you want and click on "Select Resotre Options".

Choose what you want and click on "Restore Selected Items"

Note: you can only select items that were in that backup. You can restore less but not more.

Hope this helps.

But this is for DirectAdmin (?)
I don't see a way to do a full restore in cpanel...

But nevermind - I tried to do backup/restore from phpMyAdmin (Wordpress blog), but I ended up with a blank page.
I had to install it and setup everything from the scratch Surprised

In cPanel you have "Backup Vizard" or "Backup" in FILE part of cPanel. I am looking this in cPanel 11 Smile
