Letter-spacing to fit entire width of div?

tingkagol
How do you set the letter-spacing syntax of a certain text (one word) in such a way that it automatically fits the entire width of the div?

For example, fitting the word "FRIHOST" in such a way its letters are spaced to occupy an entire 800px width div? Yes, I could always do trial-and-error by fiddling with the actual pixels of the letter-spacing CSS element, but that takes time and I was wondering if there's an automated/easier way?

I think you can't do that with letter-spacing.
You could span/div/whatever all the letters then set their width, if the text is dynamic, not static then maybe set the width with javascript.

But huge letter spacing usually looks bad, just a note. Smile

Thanks, but I'd rather just do the trial-and-error thing than fiddle with java (of which I have zero knowledge). Smile

With the kind of look I'm going for I think it's going to look good. In my mind at least.
