Why the dems have been thrown out.

As the unpopular B.O. continues to lie about finding common ground his maxist minion continue with business as usual as demonstrated by this Nov 29th 2010 video of a parliamentary exchange between acting speaker D-California Laura Richardson and R-Indiana Steve Buyer.

I guess that is an improvement. At least they were allowed in the room and didn't change the locks to keep them out like the dems did in Oct 09.

Partisan spat erupts over canceled hearing and GOP video on the Web.
THE WASHINGTON POST
Friday, October 23, 2009

WASHINGTON — The House of Representatives has been the scene of incessant partisan warfare in 2009, as each party appears to be in a near-constant state of outrage over the behavior of the other.

The picture got uglier this week when Democrats on a House committee changed the locks on a hearing room door in retaliation for a video posted online by panel Republicans.

On Oct. 15, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee was set to hold a routine meeting in the Rayburn House Office Building. Before the session, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., made clear that he planned to call for the panel to subpoena Bank of America for documents related to Countrywide Financial Corp.'s loans to some Democratic lawmakers.

When the meeting began, however, the Democrats were absent, and Republican members said they waited for more than half an hour before being told the session had been canceled over scheduling conflicts. Democrats, meanwhile, were meeting in a private room behind the hearing room.

A Republican aide videotaped Democratic lawmakers leaving that gathering through a back door.

The Republicans interspersed that footage with shots of empty chairs in the main hearing room and posted the video on the Web set to the tune, "Hit the Road, Jack."

The Democrats retaliated, as on Monday, panel Democrats had the lock changed on the door from the GOP's office space into the main hearing room.

They said they did so because Republicans "don't know how to behave," the chairman's office said.

"I think it was a breach of decorum," Issa said of the lockout.

Thanks for posting this jwellsy. Wow, what powerful speech by Buyer, and how pathetic the Speaker's actions, she had to defer to someone to advise her all the time. Buyer was right, she was more into the power of her gavel than in the actual content of what was going on.

Buyer I like, first time I've really taken notice of him. That was a good moment to behold. Passion, focus and clarity. And he is right, all of these tactics and manouvrings can't be good for the process of legislation.

Marxist minion lol

I must assume you've read Marx extensively then and aren't just spouting off generic propaganda that's always tied to Marx?

Never mind really, anybody who is interested in a discussion doesn't start a thread with loaded language. Go on with your day, ignore this post Wink

And from the Sal Alynski Rules For Radicals:
Quote:
13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and 'frozen.'...

"...any target can always say, 'Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?' When your 'freeze the target,' you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments....
