What's the trend of car's design?

Cliffer
we see cars nowadays, all shapes are similar, some new design is like airplane...

so, what's your idea about car's design in the future? what the cars would be like in the future?
ocalhoun
Lighter
More safe
More electronic
Less easy to repair and maintain
Less durable
More expensive (relatively speaking)

Unless some kind of strange reversal happens, future cars will have these traits.

and more faster?

Faster?

Generally, yes.

All you need to do is look at the differences between cars of today and cars from the past.
You'll be able to recognize several trends over time, and these trends are not likely to reverse any time soon.

Agreed with the above, except for lighter. Generally, due to added safety equipment and luxuries, cars are getting heavier (and larger). I know with trying to improve fuel economy, some cars have become lighter, but in general that isn't the case.

Just as an example, a Mark I Golf weighed under 2000 pounds. Now it can easily hit 3000 pounds.

Oh, just noticed, congrats on becoming a moderator, ocalhoun. Very Happy Of course, I expected it sooner or later.
