Posts suddenly get empty ...

Since I'm still a bit new here it could be related to some rule I don't know about.
Today I noticed that some threads get empty suddenly.
All of the content simply is gone.
If you Quote you sometimes can read the code ..
here 's an example thread that has gone empty:

A simple tool that makes reading on the Web more enjoyable by removing the clutter around what you're reading.

You need to drag the Javascript to your browser's bookmark toolbar.
So when you reach a page with interesseting content which is scatter or burried by add's all over, simply click the "Readability" button and get clean kinda white paper layout ...

Why is my original post suddenly empty ... I guess they messing up the point counting system.
that being said I would love the see the complete content of this thread !!!

I had that once too. After some changing and etc. I found out that it was caused by a space in the url-tags. So normally if it is caused by that, it should be fixed now as I quoted your topic and if it isn't fixed, well than you are reading this message because you clicked the quote button. Razz

Yes I know about this bug. It is very annoying. Whenever I see it in the forums I try to fix it, which isn't always easy. Usually it's a character in a url that causes it. I'm not sure if some of my modifications are causing it or it is simply a bug in phpbb2. In the case you linked to, the closing url part was on a different line.

It might also be due to a new php version behaving differently now than previous versions.
I've seen that happening too. What has helped me is just to remove the URL tags. Or to select the portion of the link that is the main portion of the URL tag as it is usually the last bit that creates the problem. I've seen that happening especially with Wikipedia topic pages.
Strange this pops up, if you want you could change it to the method PHP-Fusion uses to create urls. Here is the code PHP-Fusion uses:
