Scan for outdated drivers

Da Rossa
Hi folks!
Can you point me a good, free, simple and decent (did I ask too much?) solution for scanning my pc for outdated drivers and firwmare?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know about a program that does this for you, but for major drivers (video, audio, etc.), there's usually a link you can go to or an auto-update to get the most recent drivers.
Da Rossa
But that would be manual as well... we would have to access every config to search for each of them..

There are quite a few programs that can do this.

Driver Magician is one - http://www.computeractive.co.uk/vnunet/downloads/2204558/driver-magician - but this is a time limited trial

Driver Max is a free one - http://www.computeractive.co.uk/vnunet/downloads/2164203/drivermax - although this has had some bad reviews regarding sound drivers

Radar Sync is another - http://www.computeractive.co.uk/vnunet/downloads/2169365/radarsync

Another trialware/shareware is Driver Genius Pro - http://www.computeractive.co.uk/computeractive/downloads/2167052/driver-genius-professional

Thanks, I'll try Radar Sync. Smile

No problem. I haven't used them personally so can't give any more detail. Might be worth backing up all your drivers first before trying them.
Da Rossa
That's the thing: how do I backup all drivers before this scan?
welshsteve
The program should do it for you. Most of these type of programs will do this.

How good are they? My past experience with similar programs tells me that they can't really find drivers for you, maybe some Sad
That is why I always use programs like Everest(now Aida64) so I can find information about hardware component for which I want to do driver update and then I google for those drivers, or sometimes just visit manufacturer website to download drivers Smile

Just tried Raday Sync and it had a conflict with my system. Gave up.
