Paladino+O'Donnell+Whitman+McMahon+Angle

=Tea Party / Republican meltdown.

Anybody willing to defend these embarrassing Republican candidates, almost all Tea Party sponsored? In New York, we got Carl Paladino's infamous racist emails, his physical threats against a reporter, his self defense of "bad judgment in all this and more. In California, Meg Whitman's anti-illegal worker program has been slightly complicated by the revelation that she has employed an illegal immigrant housekeeper for nine years. In Connecticut there's Linda McMahon, a multimillionaire who wants to lower/abolish the minimum wage-- while admitting she doesn't know what it is. In Nevada, Sharon Angle is running on privatizing social security and repealing the health care reform, when it turns out she and her husband receive government health care benefits. She also thinks the problem with the BP oil spill is that we need less regulation and that parts of the US are already falling under Sharia law.

You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried. The right wing is taking over the Republican Party, and the right wing is insane.

I figured it out...

You're really a right-winger pretending to be an outrageous left-winger in order to make real left-wingers look bad, aren't you?

Applause Well said Ocalhoun. What Handfleisch said however is completely correct, there is a real dilemma in the Republican camp. But I wonder whether it is any "less" challenging than the left-wingers in the Dems? Both Parties have serious internal challenges. On top of it all Obama does not seem to be faring that well in the ratings as well, so some Dems may want to cast some protest votes against Obama as well.

The Tea Party movement was taken over by the neo-conservatives FreedomWorks and other assorted right-wing nuts. Moderates Tea Party identified individuals, who just want balanced budgets and debt-reduction are not, are not being heard by the media, or worse, losing in primaries to more extremist Tea Party candidates who have largely social conservative agendas.
