Want to host a Domain name

Phil
I already have a account with Frihost. I was wondering if it would be at all possible to host an additional account with a domain name.
I have a site at http://saintshistory.netfirms.com. I can't help but think I could really increase traffic by getting my own domain name.
The problem is, I generate no money whatsoever from the site, so at this point I really can't justify putting money into it. The banners at the top of pages are a requirement by Netfirms, I get nothing but the space from them.
I have no big problems with netfirms, other than they offer nothing other than space. No php, Fantastico, C-panel etc.
Just wondering if another account would be possible.

Phil, in cpanel there is an option called "parked domains" and "addon domains".

If you park a domain (just fill it in the domain like domain.com), that domain will show exactly the same as your current subdomain (public_html as root).

If you addon a domain, that domain will show exactly the same as a directory on your account. (public_html/directory/ as root)

First you need to set the nameservers at your registrar to ns1.frihost.net and ns2.frihost.net.

You may have as many addon domains and parked domains as you want (a reasonable number of course).

Let me see if I have this straight.

In my C-panel, I park the Domain, www.saintshistory.com.....after I purchase the domain name, of course.

and

Set the nameservers at my registrar to ns1.frihost.net and ns2.frihost.net.

Upload the site to the respective folder at Frihost.

Am I missing something? This seems way to easy.
Bondings
This is very easy. However if you want to put it in the folder named saintshistory (just an example), then you have to use the addon domains feature.

domain: saintshistory.com (do not use www)
user/directory: saintshistory (or another directory, where you want to place it)
password: ****** (choose one)
Phil
Forgive me for babbling on, but I never really thought of this.

SO.................
1)I get the domain name. Set the name servers.

2)Park the Domain name with C-panel.

3)Add-on the domain (again with C-panel) and name a folder with the respective name.

wow. The internet is cool.
Bondings
You either have to park the domain or addon it. So in your case, step 2 isn't necessary.
Phil
Cool. I see now what your talking about in the C-Panel with the add-on feature.
Darn.
I'm about to go back to work and will be busy for at least the next week.
I'll just have to see about it later.
Thanks Bondings. You just made my day!
