Also from New Zealand, depending on where I am around the place, my internet service changes from being provided by Wireless, Fibre, ADSL or UMTS.

Through a very, very, very horrible Comcast connection. I usually max out at around 500 kb/s download in Firefox, and sometimes get up to 650 kb/s in Steam, but that's rare. It also comes with frequent and severe crashes/lag-I've been getting pings in the thousands for the past week.

Without knowing the exact details of how Woosh operates, I believe they do use UMTS to provide their wireless service.

The UMTS I use is Telecom's XT Mobile Broadband, usually by tethering to my phone.

BSNL Broad Band Connection i am using

Well, I live in a rural area, and I used to get mine via dialup, however over the summer, they recently got a broadband service in my area. I must say, it's certainly a lot better, but my latency can be pisspoor during certain hours. The way it works is, I have an antenna on my house, which transmits about 1.6 miles away to a tower. It uses something called motorolla canopy. I only get 1.5/0.5 mbit , but hell it's enough I guess.

Cable and/or T3

What speeds do you get ?

There are unlimited and time-restricted unlimited plans, correct ?

Note that Mbps and MBps are different units.

1 MBps = 8 Mbps

I was recently moved onto an ADSL2+ capable cabinet which has increased my speed from around 6Mbit/s to 17Mbit/s.

The cabinet is scheduled to be upgraded to VDSL2 in December this year, but I will have moved by that time, so will not be able to benefit from it.

I don't really know what kind of connection I have. I do know I have a wireless connection to my router.

Everyone at home complains about the speed of the internet. It is in fact, horrific.

Enough to play online games with 25 latency (minimum) and about 1.5mbps download max and 250 kbps up.
