Fatal error Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted

Marte
Since yesterday I try to access to simple tags plugin -> manage terms and I got this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 12582912 bytes) in /home/***/domains/m*ner*s.uni.cc/public_html/wp-includes/load.php on line 552

Is there a way to fix this via .htaccess or modifying the load.php script?

Thanks in advance!
badai
by default, the value of memory_limit is only 128M. if your script eat up 256M, then definitely there is something wrong with your script.

try ini_set(memory_limit, -1)

but obviously, this is really a bad idea in shared hosting.

I think too that something is wrong with the script. There is no way that a normal script needs that much memory.
Marte
Thanks badai and Bondings.

Bondigs, you have reason, I downgrade the faulty plugin with an old version and it does the job without more warnings.

Thanks again! Smile
