dude_xyx
I want to find the model of mother board of one of PC's I have. I don't have the driver CD or can't find anything printed on board. While ago I used a free software to find all hardware in PC's which listed everything and their model numbers and things. Anyone can post name of this kind of a software ?

Most of the hardware information are displyed by dxdiag command in windows.

Just go to start and then run. Type dxdiag and then enter. You should get information about your motherboard there.

Everest is a good one too, and it provides loads of information on everything inside your computer. In facts, you may end up overwhelmed by the amount of things you'll learn about your pc.

Otherwise, CPU-Z should suffice. And I don't think that's the one you used a while ago, because it only shows cpu/mobo/ram info, so give it a try!

software, is the collection of computer programs and related data that provide the instructions telling a computer what to do. The term was coined to contrast to the old term hardware (meaning physical devices). It was knowledgeable information..

I was recommended this utility and I must say CPU-Z is good good good! It gives out the information regarding your computer's hardware resources. So it's a very useful tool! Smile

You can use Everest Home Edition, a good software that can detect your PC hardware even the hardware driver is not yet installed.
