im in need of assistance. im not very computer savvy. so i just got a computer today, my friend gave it to me. its a four year old gateway. so i got it home and started to hook it up and as soon as i plugged it into the power strip it turned on. but the monitor wouldnt come on. it kept saying no vga signal. so i went out and bought another vga cord thinking that the cord was bad but it still wouldnt come on. i also tried hooking up another working monitor with the new vga cable and it still was saying no vga signal. so im not really sure what is going on. any help would be greatly appreciated.
