is there any software that can make playing card or chess game?
snowboardalliance
You want to make a game or play one?

I'll assume the latter and the answer is yes. For card games there is so much I wouldn't know where to begin. I would start with google.

I've heard of this for chess, but I don't have much experience with any of it: http://www.freechess.org/

it isn´t that easy to create a game if you have little or no experience with any programming language.
you could create one in flash, java or even c++.
it all depends on what you already know, for a complete beginner I would recommend Flash.

EDIT:
check these links

as you see, there are several tutorials out there to create games.
do a lot of research, create the graphics and more important.. take your time... this is not something you can do overnight

I think you'll come to find the best and most flexible way is to just download a package of card pictures and make your own from scratch with either php or flash or something like http://hhh.frihost.org/ChronoTrigger.html

It depends on what environment you are targeting, if it is web you can use php, javascript, html and if it is desktop only better to use C++ and learn how to program graphics. You can also download an open source graphics engine on the net.

I think card games are commonly done so it shouldn't be too hard to find a tutorial of some sort. Start small with whatever you decide on, like if you think it would be awesome to make a texas hold'em game with full AI or networking, you may need to start with something simpler. Something like video poker will let you learn to rank hands and it can be a simple one player game. Then you could try something like making a multiplayer game from a single computer (easy to cheat, yes, but good for learning) and expand upon that to add networking support.

To begin, I would choose a programming language to learn. Probably C++, Java, Python, C#, or something else commonly used. You're bound to find tons of online help on it.

Good luck!

there used to be a software name GameMaker some few years back.

you don't have to necessarily learn C/C++ or any programming language to create games using this software Smile

True, but it's worthwhile to learn I think if you have the time and want to do more than make one game. But to some a tool like GameMaker is a better option to quickly get up and running.

oh really nice! i should try it at beginning.

it'd be nice to download a deck of cards and pick a programming language, learn it, then write your own card game, can't be too hard unless you're thinking about writing server-side code
