i bought a samsung b2030 monitor only 1 day ago.. it is 20" with 5ms response time. native resolution is 1600*900. the problem the screen shows ripples travelling from the top to bottom of the monitor.. it is very evident against a white background.. something like we see when we watch videos showing computer monitors..
my mobo is intel original mobo with g33 chipset.. i only have onboard graphics.. is it a problem with the monitor..??
Plz someone help me...??
Maybe there some kind of magnetic object near your LCD that causes the ripples.
No man...there's nthing like that...that was the first thing that too came up to my mind...I did checked up but nthin' wrked....!!
Have you tried the monitor with another video source?
Just wondering if you have checked carefully before you pay? You may ask for replacement from where you have just bought it
It could only be a few things:
1. Outside interference (but you said that couldn't be it)
2. Bad Video Source, like someone said before, try it with another computer/video card
3. The Monitor is Bad, you'll have to get it replaced
If you have changed the video source from yr mobo to a laptop, and the lines are still coming, then its probably the monitor, but try changing the refresh rates on the monitor itself first. Maybe there is a setting on the monitor to set it to default (the easiest way), that may fix the problem with the lines.
Another thing to try is the refresh rate (frequency) on the video card settings, or perhaps upgrade the driver.
Thnx Guys...For d support...I have asked my Vendor to replace it now...!!
