How do companies like BP harvest and transport oil?

Bondings
I've always wondered what happens with the oil before it gets into our cars. It turns out it's a complex process consisting of 4 steps:

something like that, they then filter it through the Great Barrier Reef here in Australia and refine it in the fur of penguins and other sea creatures...

Laughing Laughing That's a good one Bondings. I think the artist should have added "Flubber" (after that Walt Disney Comedy with Williams), i.e. the tar balls changing into flubber when they wash ashore. So when people use the Flubber, their cars will fly like the one in the Comedy did, instead of drive if what had washed up had been oil instead.

Ahhhh, it all makes since now, and I always thought it was such a simple process. I've been told the more animals killed through the process the more miles per gallon we get. To quote Sarah Palin; "Kill, baby kill!"

Haha, I like that. I'll have to spread this one around a bit.

Oh cool. I saw this in the fakescience tumblr account. It's kind of convincing when it's presented like that. Haha.
