Best Python tutorials

meggle
Hi all!

I'm new to the forums. Are there any online Python tutorials that you'd recommend? I've heard it's a great language to start with, and I'd be grateful for inside resources.

Why don't you try Google? Also, read the Python documentation. That will help you. (It helped me personally)

I have been learning through MIT Opencourseware. I like it because it goes through a lot of computer science concepts too, but the maths required is a bit hard.

When I started off, http://learnpythonthehardway.org/ proved to be quite useful.

I've been using the tutorial at www.codecademy.com

It might not be extremely detailed, but it covers the basics just fine, it's quick and easy, and you can practice your work right there in the browser. Also, there's help from more experienced students available too. And there's a nifty points incentive program there too. I figured any Frihoster would be into that sort of thing. Razz

This was posted by another user in a different forum: https://developers.google.com/edu/python/

It was getting a lot of positive comments, and I plan to try it... Just thought I'd pass it on, good luck!
