Anyone have any comments on the DOW dropping almost 1,000 points? It was caused by someone entering $1BILLION ($1,000,000,000) instead of $1MILLION ($1,000,000). Can't they just take out $1billion and then add $1million?

U.S.A is never going to get out of our massive debt. China here we come!

Ironically China's fortunes are now intrinsically linked with that of the US. It is in China's interest that the US should be doing well.

hahaha, yeah the whole thing is caused by someone making a typo on a sale order. He traded 1billion instead of 1million shares and caused the price of that stock to plummet.

Shows you how fleeting the gains from stock speculations are in our economy.

It didn't help that everyone is spooked by what's going on in Europe with Greece and all. The world is riding on a razors edge right now with the financial crisis, all the disasters (earth quakes, vocanic ash, oil spill), North and South Korea rattling their sabers, and violence flaring up in Bangkok, etc. and folks are nervous. Won't take much to tip us over the edge into another Great Depression, or even a world war.

Scary times are scary.

Good point. The Oil Spill in a region that has already been through a flooding disaster, has to be a great challenge. The world economy also seems to be so interwoven, if the US catches the flu, just about everyone in the world sneezes these days.

People are blaming that Oil Spill on the the government for over looking the safety guidelines. It blew up! It wasn't are fault.
