Domains not handled properly

Indyan
Say if I go to www.pallab.net and click any of the links there i would be taken to say http://www.pallab.frihost.net/blogs/index.php but not http://www.pallab.net/index.php
I want things to happen in the 2nd way.Otherwise when i post link to some article at other places i have to put in the long pallab.frishot.net/xxx link.

Anyway to solve this?
Bondings
This problem should normally be quite easy to solve. Go to the database of your blog and search for a config value of your site name/address. Change it from pallab.frihost.net/blogs/ to pallab.net or something similar depending on what the original value was.
Indyan
Are you asking me to edit the Mysql database? That s very comlicated and I am not sure that i would be able to do that.Further more if I do that then it wont work for other url's
The thing is when I add a domain it create a subdomain like blogs.indyan.info and redirects to it.
I had previously used http://www.zoneedit.com/ for manaign dns.It used to work fine.
Bondings
I can change it for you, if you want. It's just searching and then changing a value with phpMyAdmin.

Of course if I change it, you'll have the same problem if someone visits http://www.pallab.frihost.net/blogs/index.php it will give a link to http://www.pallab.net/index.php.

Anyway, do you want me to do that? Otherwise you will have to edit it in you php code, which would mean much more work, I think.
Indyan
If you do that and someone visits say
http://www.pallab.frihost.net/blogs/index.php/2005/09/23/windows_xp_tweaks_that_do_not_work
then will it autometically redirect him to
http://www.pallab.net/index.php/2005/09/23/windows_xp_tweaks_that_do_not_work ?

No, but all links will go to the second page.
Indyan
Yes.That is wht i mean.
If i type http://www.pallab.frihost.net/blogs/index.php/2005/09/23/windows_xp_tweaks_that_do_not_work will I be taken to http://www.pallab.net/index.php/2005/09/23/windows_xp_tweaks_that_do_not_work ?
If it is so then please make the change.I dont want any dead links that is why I am lil concerned.
I would check and tell you if everything is ok.
Bondings
You most likely won't have broken links.

Anyway, to solve this, you will need to change the file http://www.pallab.frihost.net/blogs/conf/_config.php

Search for:
Code:
$baseurl = 'http://www.pallab.frihost.net/blogs';      // IMPORTANT: NO ENDING SLASH !!!

and replace it with:
Code:
$baseurl = 'http://www.pallab.net';      // IMPORTANT: NO ENDING SLASH !!!

Yes it worked. But now the old links don't work. for eg.
http://www.pallab.frihost.net/blogs/index.php/2005/09/23/windows_xp_tweaks_that_do_not_work

Well, then you can either switch back or redirected all subdomain requests to the domain requests.
Indyan
i would do the later.
