Same here, i doubt that there would be a bug like that because it would be well known... but maybe im wrong.
@dodomi Maybe you should get your computer checked. You might have a virus that is causing that to happen.
No bug?
Spam thread. His crapping.

Thread reopened. Reason: It actually does work (well, in Word 2000 anyway)!
Just type this in:
=rand(100,100)
Make sure to press enter. It will print 'The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog' for 115 pages. This is documented in the Microsoft Knowledge Base under the ID #212251: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=212251

well, MS Office software is full of such "easter eggs". You can find some of them at http://www.eeggs.com/
see for example:
http://www.eeggs.com/tree/558.html
As far as I know, recently, MS prohibited to implement a new "easter eggs" as it could compromise product security.
It worked for me!!! Incredible!!!
As I pressed enter, the only page turned in around 100!
Microsoft, ...
it depends on what version you have. Some versions have this bug, others don't
Aw, it doesn't work on my computer... but it worked on my Dad's older version of word. That was hilarious.
i try it, it came out a lot of words.......make my pc hang, shit!

It is because of the font you used most generic ( and some perfessional) Use that sentance for there demo ( view the True Font to see what i mean. My suggestion is to change the font.
nothing here~~
i have try many time
is it true
Hi friend,
Yes, seems like not only word 2000, I have tried my word 97, it
comes out the bug too.... but only for 81 pages...
It's not actually a bug, it could be a funny item put into it so that
you and others can have fun after working too much with word...
Anyway, thanks for letting us know.
Yeah the equals button is required. You can do it with different numbers as well... we experimented in some selected ICT lessons. A really funny way to crash school computers is make the command in top size font (in newest word I think it's 6000 and something) and then press enter.

According to this tip it's not bug, this is a feature.
My favorite one is this - which I was told is only in Microsoft Word 97 Beta. I have tried numerous times in post-beta versions of Word 97 and it looks like that they took it out.
Now here's one that I do know is in Windows. Try making a new folder called "COM1". It won't accept the file name. Why is this ?
- Mike.
COM1 is the (reserved) name of the first serial port. You also can't create files or folders with names like con, prn, lpt1, nul, and so on. Check for I/O settings if you want to find more.
And I liked the picture! Great!
