Creating Email Accounts with PHP

polly-gone
Is there any way to create email accounts using PHP and/or DirectAdmin from a web script?

I am currently designing a site that is going to use temporary, randomly generated email addresses such as js8832nma9hdhg8@example.com and I want to know if there is any way to create a record for this email address on the mail server using some sort of server-side script.

If there is no way to do that, I will simply create a catch-all email address that has a script that regularly checks that address for new mail, and if the to: line on any of them matches one of the temporary addresses it will retrieve the email, but I would prefer not having to do that.

Thanks in advance,

DirectAdmin has a API that you can use to do things like create accounts.

The documentation for the API is here http://www.directadmin.com/api.html#email

There is also a PHP class on that page for doing it. However it looks as it is as simple as requesting (using php's filegetcontents say) http://user:pass@yourhost:<DirectAdmin Port>/CMD_YOU_WANT?<Your query string>
