How much press is the anniversary of this failure going to receive?

Quote:
Sec. 3. Closure of Detention Facilities at Guantánamo. Excellent question. Total quiet! Amazing how the media had lynched Bush (probably deservedly so) at the time when the can of worms had been opened up, and how eagerly the media had lapped up Obama's nonsense in January of last year, and now when it really counts, all is quiet on the media front. I would venture a guess that more had been done by the Bush administration to fix things at GITMO in between the period when it had been made a great scandal and Bush's Presidency ended, than in all the time from when Obama made that famous statement in January of last year to to date. All we have heard was first needing to assess the situation, then needing a postponement to assess the situation in May, and then figure out how to deal with it, and then not how to deal with it, ..... talk. And finally the release of a few Yemenis.

^.^ I do believe I predicted this the day he made that promise...

Yet another Obama failed promise. He talked big on the campaign trail but has folded like the featherweight that he is when it came time to produce results.
