Website Video

Dennise
Is it difficult to add a short (1 - 2 minute) video piece (w/audio) to a web page?

Can this be done using Dreamweaver 3?

Will someone please briefly explain the general procedure and what is involved? If possible, I'd like to add the video without the need for the viewer having to install some odd and arcane viewer.

Thanks in advance. Very Happy

Should the video be played by the topical player of the system in own window, it is enough a link on the video-file to place.

<a href = "videos/video1.mpg"> video in the extra window </a>

Then the film can be steered there by the user as usual.

In order to integrate of videos (and also audios) you use the embed day; it is independent of browser and simply calls a suitable plug-in for passing the ball.

<embed src = "videodatei.mpg" width = "192" height = "189"> </embed>

Beside the name of the videofile you must still give the width and the height of the video; with some plug-ins the height of the controlling strip must be still added to the videoheight (media Player 9: +45px)
