Add magic to your site

chasbeen
Carry on reading if you know HTML and javascript or (at least) want to get into it.

You might already have some nice templates and know a bit about css style sheets but you really need to learn some Raphael to add "the extra bit" so that your site stands out against others in the same class.

You can achieve spectacular things with this software, come join the party at:

http://www.irunmywebsite.com/raphael/raphaelsource.html which is my site and then visit the Raphael site, the authors there producing his magic.

To Flash users: No it's not got the capability in a lot of areas however it does perform better than Flash in many ways, so (depending on the project) you would use Flash or Raphael or both! Exclamation

Here are "images" which are in fact "SVG"
http://www.openclipart.org/
You build them in a free editor called "Inkscape"-Download it.

If you put your "picture" images in a text editor they look pretty similar to HTML.

All browsers were supposed to support it (Because these images were far lighter than raster images-bitmaps) but IE refused (It was the only one)

The tool I'm building will convert SVG to HTML so they will be viewable in all browsers...

It's a huge subject, I've given you the most basic answer.
