What do you think: will the Cavs get the championship this year? And which Eastern team will they contend with for the Eastern championship?
From what I have seen so far, I am not sure about Lebron and Shaq winning it this year. Lebron was really close last year, but sometimes when you add someone like Shaq (a good player who is on the decline) it will complicate things. If they learn by the end of the year how to play together, it is certainly possible. Right now, I think the Lakers, Celtics, and Magic have a better shot.
I think Shaq is getting a bit too old and his performance is declining but im pretty sure lebron james will help boost his performance. I think the lakers and Celtics are really good contenders.
If you ask me, I prefer the big tall lithuanian bald player, I don't remember his name, but I believe it was something like Ilgauskas...
He's way better than Shaq right now.
The Cavs have a great team, with Lebron, Wes, Parker, Shaq, Ilgauskas, and one of my favourites, Anderson Varejao.
No ,champs will be Orlando
Orlando is still peaking, but LeBron has been phenomenal. His team is tops in the NBA now surpassing Kobe and the Lakers.
They're trying to be like the Yankees and buy a title. It doesnt always work out.
I am going to recant what I said earlier and say that they will win it all this year. I hope for the sake of the fans in Cleveland that Lebron wins one championship before he leaves the Cavs for a bigger market. I also wonder who is going to get Chris Bosh?
I agree that Shaq is a little old, which means Lebron is not so lucky as D-wade in 2006, 4years pasted. Even though, Celtics is older too, KG, PP, RA, and Orlando has lost Hedo Tukeglu. Caverliers will be the championship of East, But I believe them can not beat LA or Denver in NBA Finnal.
But you must admit that the Cavaliers have been successful against the Lakers and the Nuggets in the regular season.
Even so, Cavs ain't winning the crown because they often choke up come playoffs time. Cavs lost to Spurs in the 2007 Finals in a sweep and lost to Orlando Magic in 6 after sweeping their first 8 playoff games.
The west is strong, the top 4 (Lakers, Mavs, Nuggets and Jazz) have been a potential threat in the league right now.
They are No. 1 in the whole NBA right now. And the top 4 you mentioned have been losing to the Cavs in the regular season.
yes, lebron will is gonna go OFF and they'll clinch this year!!!
I think the matter is moot now. The Cavs are not going to win the championship this year. LeBron choked in Game 5 of the series with Boston. In that game, Shaq was a high scorer. Shaq can't help LeBron win a championship.
lOl sureeeee and yes he did chokeeee in game 5 buh yesterday, he did pretty good NOT BEST yet goood
Looking like James is going to New York soon and Shaq's finally going to retire and become sheriff like he said he would?
I am not sure about this. I heard this during their last game with Boston as a speculation.
With the way he has been looking during the playoffs, I think it is time for him to retire and do other stuff.
Shaq won't retire. I'd say he's got at least two more years in him. I think he wants to break some more records.
He has, at most, one year. But I'm inclined to say he's out after this year, especially if Lebron leaves Cleveland. He's really way past his prime and is currently the oldest player in the NBA. For a center of his size and length of career, his body just isn't going to put up with it much longer.
I think he is ready for retirement now.
