Frih.net speed

Seems like the frih.net server has been being slow, timing out, etc.... Had several complaints on my forums about it. Is there any known issue?[/u]

It's on the same server as these forums. I haven't noticed anything strange the last few days. Did anyone else notice Sever 2/3 (frih.net and frih.org subdomains) behaving weird?

It could just be the fact that I'm running mybb... I'm trying to get the guy that made the mybb1.4 to phpbb3 script to fix an error he has in it...

I have noticed that the forums have defiantely been timing out / super slow. Not so much as of right now, but two days ago yes.

Yea, today about 1pm CST it got better.. but the past few days it had been horrible Sad

Could it be that we are running out of ram and the server is having to use page file?

These forums were unresponsive about 3 or 4 hours ago.
Blank pages and "unable to connect to the database" errors.

Yea I Experienced it too on my server.

BTW, i've seen a topic on this before, but why the heck is phpmyadmin so slow?

I have a hosting account with godaddy and it's not that slow.

Just FYI, this is still going on (I know this has been a problem for ages now).

The forum (and server 2 sites) are having DB problems as of 11PM UTC until now (about midnight). Usual symptoms: Blank pages served and database connection errors.

I'm getting annoyed by it too, since I don't know what's causing it. The server load is usually pretty low, so it's not like the server can't handle it.

I'll be removing accounts of inactive users on server 2/3, since I haven't been doing this in a very long time. Maybe this will help. I'll also be tweaking the settings again, hopefully all this will help.

If it's MySQL that's causing the problem itself (rather than MySQL just being starved of resources due to something else) then keeping a slow query log might help track it down:

Yes I have also, since this new server came online and accounts were moved to it? ... Phpmyadmin has always been unbareable slow.

I would check to see how long db queries are taking in the phpmyadmin script to help narrow down the problem. Let us know if you find anything.
