I've seen this in other forums...Don't know admins seen it before...
As you know, there has been a lot of spam in the "Advertise your site" forum.
Many people just put "nice" to add their points.
There's a word filter in phpBB right? You, admins can make use of the word filter. You substitue the word nice into [IM A N00B, PLEASE BAN ME]. People would feel embarassed and would not make these junky posts again.
Comments on this idea etc. accepted.
You have to remember that the word filter doesn't change if its a more than one word post.
I can do this in my post.
"Well, Bondings, this is a nice idea! We should also blah blah".
Then my "nice idea" will be changed to [IM A N00B, PLEASE BAN ME].
And the word fliter isn't per forum

Delete the Introductions forum.

You're completely right. Sometimes, there's a topic with a slightly more interesting conversation, but those are rear. So most of the posts overthere are some kind of spamming 
where there is forum there is spam
what we can do is not to stop this
but others

Instead, what we can probably do is not to give any points or FRIH$ for posting in the Introductions' forum. It's pretty much like the Jokes forum, most replies are "Ha ha" or "lol", so we don't give any points in that forum

sounds like a pretty good idea...
however getting rid of the introductions section would be a bit harsh as its is a valid thing to post about.. maybe just moderate it more.. or is it possible to put a minimum number or words before the forums will let you post?I've discussed this with Bondings. It's not really possible to implement the no-points formula the way me and Bondings we wanted without making a lot of modifications, for which I doubt Bondings has enough time...
And also, we encourage members to post Introductions to themselves, consequently, we cannot make that forum a no-points zone.
