Life after death

volvogangster
Hi,

If I ask to you, do you think there is life after death, then the answers are yes, no, yes, no.

But I like to hear, why do you think there is life after death?

Yes. I actually suppose that reincarnation is what happens. I don't want to give away too much of the 'religion' I'm still developing, but this part is pretty much complete:

Each person comes in 3 parts:
body, mind, soul.

Most people 'reside' in their mind, and somewhat in their body, but mostly ignore their soul.
(By 'reside' I mean that part of them is what they consider their 'self'.)

When you die, the body and mind are destroyed, and separated from the soul. The soul then moves on to the next 'host' body. Because most people 'reside' mostly in their body and mind, most of what makes their 'self' what it is gets destroyed. Hence, the importance of 'residing' in one's soul. There are convincing instances of people remembering things from past lives; my theory is that these people (in their past lives) 'resided' more in their soul than most, allowing those experiences to transfer after death.

So, by 'residing' in your soul, you could get a semblance of immortality. Most important would be implanting a desire to 'reside' more in the soul to your soul, so that each lifetime improves the amount of 'self' that can be carried over to the next body and mind in the next life.

(It may also be possible that some souls have different fates than getting a new body and mind... Ghosts may be the result of such. Or, there could be other 'places' --like the Christian concepts of heaven and hell-- that a soul could go to. I don't have enough evidence to speculate on that though.)

So if there is a soul... tell it to reveal it self!

Sounds like good thoughts. I imagine that ghosts may be lost souls who could have been separated from their bodies so violently that they just could not check into the next step. Maybe that is why people who are needy and sensitive are prone to attract equally needy "lost souls"?

Maybe it does reveal itself, but since we are only into our bodies and minds, we just can't see it? Perhaps that is why children have a greater affinity for seeing other "souls". They are relaxed enough to not disregard their souls, and being able to see other souls when they reveal themselves.

The ways the soul reveals itself are subtle, and because so many people ignore their souls, it is very rare for these subtle effects to be noticed.

My soul, for instance, is where my love of horses comes from.
