Anyone uses Joomla here on Frihost?

If anyone could enlighten me about the ftp functionality on Joomla, I would be thankful:!:
It's possible to use and my problem is only my lack of knowledge?

Hey,

PHP has some functions that allow it to connect to FTP servers for file management, this is one Joomla is trying to use. However certain security concerns hover around these ftp functions. It is likely Bondings has disabled these functions in PHP for this reason.

I believe Joomla can also be installed manually, using your own FTP client. I would look into this to have Joomla installed, if you dont use FTP clients to upload and manage files on your website look at FileZilla Client.

I suspected something like that because some time ago I saw a post from Bondings stating that some PHP functions were disabled due to security concerns, I only wanted to be assured.

Thanks for your advice, I though on that but I don't won't to mess up my SO with PHP, MySQL,... so I think I will go to a VM, I hope Joomla it's worth all this trouble Razz
