If you are talking about the relation between points and hosting than here is the detail. In order to maintain your hosting account, your point must not go negative. Maximum points that you can get is 45 for user with hosting account. So, easily put keep your points positive and your hosting account is safe.

Yes. You must keep your points from dropping below 0, after that your account may be cancelled or suspended due to inactivity.
