The style for the pic is certainly cool, but the composition leaves me wondering what's happening in it. Despite being a tad confusing, it's really good for a first try!

I agree about the style but the picture becomes somewhat jumbled because of the color choices. It may be a good idea to shade your hand slightly different so it shows up seperate from your face.

I have to admit. This is a great first design and shows some promise.
