I am planning to create a website of directory of open source softwares and i need a HTML template for it. Do any body here know a nice template for such purpose? It must be free.

Just put up a wordpress blog for it. It is free and you can make a lot of customized add-ons with plug ins or widget. Also, there are unlimited free wordpress themes to choose from. If the reason why you specifically want html template is because of the html web addresses at the end, just customized the permalink structure.
