Wow... i want it... now It's supposed to be about 35 times as powerful as the PS2. With a "cell" processor (3.2 ghZ main processor, 7 other "cores" to distribute the load) and a graphics processor about twice as powerful as today's geforce 6800 ultra.
It's too like PlayStation 2.

its cool. maybe i buy it that's cool but i dont like how the controllers are designed.. it doesnt looks like its handy.. i like the old PS 2 controller more than the new controller.. am excited about how the graphics looks like.. probably its more 4d than the PS2.

This is my first time seeing pics of it. I've heard a lot about it except the price. I doubt it's gonna cost the same as the PS2 when it was first released. If it has more features, it'll probably cost more money. I'll probably still buy it though lol
In style, I must say, it out did PS2 alot. It's really sleek and the design is superb. However, I must say, i think the practicality of the console has been compromised. The console can't be place horizontally because its round, even though that isn't really the problem. What I think is that I doubt holding that awfully sleek but way to round contoller will be comfortable after a while.

wanna play I like the sleek design that the PS3 has. I was reading about it in the latest Game Informer magazine. This is a console that I also want once it's in stores (year 2006..?).
i've heard alot about the graphics & the design is hot, so i m gonna start saving up now..lol

They're saying it should be over 500 dollars now. If Sony would just cut the extra random crap they threw in there, it could be a lot cheaper.

Playstation 3 will have a fight on it's hands against the Xbox360 with it's 3 processors syncronisly running at 3.2 GH each, along with 512MB of RAM. I personally have to say that it's going to be quite a challenge as Playstation couldn't compete with Xbox's shear power, let alone the Xbox's ability to download music and game updates. Sure the PS2 has a hard drive but you have to buy it.

250 to 300 is highly highly highly doubtful. It began at 400, went to OVER 500, now people are thinking AT 500. I dunno
I heard somewhere that the ps3 will naturally have some processors broken when they are shipped. I sure wouldnt want to get one of those. Also, the graphics processor and card arent going to be nearly as good as the xbox 360
