Virus in Windows folder

Hi guys i recently installed the evaluation version of Windows 7 and i am also running Windows XP alongside..!!

I have installed ESET Node32 Virus Scan and recently in scan it showed a virus report as following:

Windows 7 is in C: and Windows XP in D:

So as per the above report is it a virus...?? Should i proceed with the delete option as demanded by the
Anti Virus program..??

is the anti virus installed in windows 7 or windows XP?

as for your query, why dont u rename it and change the extension and see it for a while.

that way you dont have to run into some problem if that happens to be a system file.

Upload the file to Virustotal.com and see if it's a false positive by NOD32.

The antivirus is installed in both the versions of windows..!! In XP it is not shown but while running the scan in Windows 7 it shows in the scan..!!

Is the file needed to work the XP..??

I also use XP and it doesn't have "D:\WINDOWS\reset.exe " and it runs well. So, it may not be important for windows xp.

I think i have to make it more clear..!!

Actually Windows 7 is in C drive and XP is in D drive...!! That is the WINDOWS folder in D drive is for the XP installed..!!

So now please tell me the solution...!!

guess who is that!! are you running scripts from AUTO IT 3?

It seems sb. has programmed a kind of reset for your pc with one click.
Maybe your Viruskiller has killed your script with one eye in the head.
It is "unwanted" code for many anti-virus-companies right now...

... if you know installed it its ok (let it not be killed)

if not: i presume you lock off your PC,
because it could be that sb. has hacked into the system primitively
with an remote executer and installed the program... to see if
you could get upset, when your pc is rebooting without any clue...

I still don't understand what the hell is that file..!! I am afraid to run that file also..because i fear i may get more affected if i run it..!!

its an aotu it script. because it has the extension au3...

look here:http://filext.com/file-extension/AU3

so somebody has programmed it.
au3 is a tool. You can build scripts with it. you can mouseclick automatical and
do task like pressing a button or start a commando console.

i think somebody programmed it for you. Just for fun. To see if you are upset.
Because the "name" of the programm, makes me laught... never had a problem
your pc was shutting down and you have done nothing?
It΄s maybe a very bad joke self programmed auto-it script!
