NHL starts today.....

many more late nights ahead for those of us NHL fans in Europe.... but I'm not complaining....

Its great to see hockey back - and this weekend sees games in Helsinki and Stockholm (so decent times for Europe too).

I'm hoping for plenty of coverage on ESPN America as well as occasional games on ESPN.

Anyone else out there excited by this coming season ?

Yep, I'm ready for is season, even though problems plagued the league, like the coyotes bankruptcy, the taxi driver case, and the versus-directv scandal, it looks like to be a great season.

I'm on Directv here.. so I'm disappointed because of this scandal.

Got to watch the Caps season opener against the Bruins in a bar though, was a great game and nothings better than to start a season with a win (4-1).

I think the Caps are going to finally get it done this year. Based on his early play, Ovechkin (as usual) is BEAST!

DC's other sports teams have been pathetic with the Nats losing 100 games, Redskins losing to Detroit,
and Gilbert Arenas running more of his mouth than on the court.
