Submenus in Joomla

gandalfthegrey
Hi,

I am new to joomla and this is the first problem that I have encountered that I cannot figure out on my own.

I am trying to create a sub-menu that I want to only show up with a certain article.

I've put the article in a section and category by itself, along with the articles that I only want to show up in the sub-menu.

I've created a new menu,
In the MENU ASSIGNMENT, I've added the few articles that I want to include in the sub-menu (none of which are in the main menu) using "Select Menu Item(s) from the List"

Under Module Parameters, I've created it as a list with a start level of 1 and end level 2.

I have double checked to make sure everything in enabled. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong.

Please help!
