Font choice

I found a site that should be consulted before a decison is made on what fonts to use on a site. If you use a font that is not on their computer (they being those who visit your site) it will default to the computers default font, might make your page 'ugly'. Look at these two links, the second one is quite good.

actualy i think it isn' t as usefull as you you say,
i allways use standart fonts as text, because everybody can see it.
and i dont need a site to tell me what font i have to use for text, because everybody has the standart fonts as Arial, Times new Roman, Verdana.

and for my designs, i can choose the font which fits the best in the picture.
i hope everybody knows that everyone can read text in a picture... because it is stored as a picture...
so my hint for this " problem " is:

if you realy want to use a special font type, make sure its readable.. and store it inn a picture.. so everybody has profit of your special font, if you dont want to use pictures with only text because of the space.. make sure you have an alternate font in you html..

i hope this helps anyone..

OR, you could try other options like IFR, CSS image replacing, JIR, all of them available at www.alistapart.com except for JIR which you can find at www.quirksmode.org, great site actually.
