Sound and Picture Transistion

Possum
Hi

Are there any scripts where I can mix pictures and sound.

I would like forward and backward buttons.

I want to make tutorials. But don't want to use Flash..

Thank you....

Firefox 3.5 supports the Html5 <audio> tag

But like the <video> tag, there seems to be no audio format that works on every <audio> enabled browser

Hmm flash objects would really be the way to go. It's really too bad you want to avoid them. I guess you could do something with an OnClick event... Maybe have an embedded sound file that played with the OnClick event from your button?

Yeah I don't know a whole lot about them, but I'd definitely say they're going to be easier for you to use. I might have to look into using them at some point. We'll see Laughing, good luck!

RocketWerx has a free JavaScript Slide Show called "RockSlideshow". The product was originally developed as a module for Joomla/Mambo Content managemen systems. However, they have also made a stand-alone version for HTML sites. You can see a demonstartion of the product at the RocketWerx Website:

It's quite a simple slideshow to implement and contains a number of configurable parameters. You basically add a couple of Javascript instructions in the head of your pages, then add a piece of custom script. Once you've done that, you add a simple piece of html into your page where the slideshow is to appear.
