australia's early exit from the world cup and the loss of the ashes to the english has clearly shown that they no more the dominant force on the cricket scene but possibly is because the rest of the world had had enough of domination and they are not ready to take it more and not because australia was destined to loose the rest of the world have risen their game not that australia has degraded....
Whilst Australia have dropped off a little (just list the greats who have retired now)... I think it is more that the other countries (South Africa, India, Sri Lanka and even England) are getting closer.
If you look at the Test Match rankings... the loss at the Oval saw Australia drop from 1st to 4th... that says to me that it is VERY close at the top....

Everything that has a beginning must have a end. That is root teaching of Buddhism.
So as the Ausie cricket. But to the way they were going, i never thought it should be this soon. Like the once so great West INdies fall, Ausies are destind to fall at some time.
But as others have said, Others are closing in very rapidly. So i dont think anyone will dominate cricket for such long periods in the near future. It will be a close rat race for some time
