What's your Top Movies That Are Better Than the Book? I can tell you that Harry Potter movies are way worse than the books.
...I'm not sure any are. In fact, I think in the case of every movie based on a book, the book is far better. Narnia, Lord of the Rings...can't comment on Harry Potter because I'm not a Harry Potter fan...Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by the far, 2001: A Space Odyssey insanely so.
The people who seem to think that the movie would be better tend to be the people who haven't actually read the book in question.
I watched the video about the top 11 movies that are better than the book and I have to say it was nice and clever. I actually always say that I like books better than the movies but I never thought of the reverse and I can't think right now of a movie that I thought it was better than the movie. But I will definitely be paying attention that from now on!
In my optinion no movie is better than the book, since books go into much greater depths of character development that movies can not do, since it would cause movies to be boring and they have a time limit.

In his opinion the james bond movies are way better than the books. I bought him the james bond collection for Christmas and after he watched them all he thought it might be interesting to read the books. So, even thought the books are way over priced I bought him the first three....he didn't even read the third, he thought the books did not describe the character as well, or that the james bond character was not as interesting as the movies depict him. He particularly liked the last two movies (Casino royal and live and let die). He extrapolated and thought that the rest were also going to be bad.
Then we thought that the movie Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy makes a very competitive case. The books are great...but the movie did a great job too...even though we don't think it quite surpasses the books...its close.
Probably black hawk down but i cant wait for the HALO movie to come out. Its going to be the most expensive movie ever made but its definatly going to be better than the books. HALO 3 RULES!!!

Yeah, sorry that was scrapped a while ago. LOTR was amazing, I loved the books, but I thought the movies were just a little bit better.uhh yeh i guess most of the action movies are better than the books like LOTR and James Bond but Harry Potter movies are always worse than the books. It ahs to be because the books always have a lot of action and imagination which you either can't practically put in a movie because it's too difficult or there's not enough time to put it in the movie.

I think many kids thinks that movies are better than books. But after you become older and can read a lot of things, it's really hard to find better movie than a book.
I disagree the harry potter book was so much better than the actual movie.
In many of the movies they missed parts out which should of been put in and it would of led to better scenes, characters and better viewing.
Anyhow this is only my opinion.
I would say lenemy snickets series of unfortunate events movie was alot better than the book.

Yeah, they are pretty hit and miss. The latest "Half Blood Prince" was just ok in my opinion. It was good in some parts, but they destroyed others. There was about 5 minutes in the whole movie that dealt with the half blood prince. Plus (Spoiler alert I guess) when Dumbledore dies, it really makes Harry out to be a jerk by not helping him. It was just a little off I guess.some of the harry potter movies are nothing like the book and half the stuff isnt in the movie and people who havent read them will know another story after the movie

Fight Club, definitely. The book was good but the movie was just awesome!
The The Da Vinci Code movie was just horrid. The only movie I can think of are the Lord of the Rings-series. The books were crap, but the movies were ok.
The Harry Potter movies certainly aren't better than the books. Most of them are goddamn awful.
Oh, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was an ok movie, but you can't even begin to compare it to the books.
