If you watch the music video for Ready To Go by Republica, which is pretty nifty, you'll see a lot of imagery zooming in and out very fast, usually switching to and from another bit of video at the same time.
I want to mimic this fast moving effect for fun with some home movies as an extra feature. By watching the video several times, I've figured out that a lot of the images of power line towers and skylines are just photos being zoomed into and out of incredibly quickly. however, when they have a video, like at 1:09 or 1:22, how is that done. Are they using the camera to zoom in and out partially, or are they shooting normally and doing it all in post production, adding the blurring around the edges and such? What sort of Windows-based program would be used to make a video of this nature?
I am hoping someone on here will work or have worked with editing video and would have an idea on how it's done
