godaddy? not exactly sure what you mean, but yer, godaddy..
To be entirely honest this is the first I've heard of it, however I would say it sounds like a good way to make money. If anyone has any information on this I would like to know as well.
Maybe try dreamhost ? Some friends of me are using ehis hosting and it works superb. Fast, reliable and not too expensive. And as you said - you can resell. Add to this unlimited space + unlimited bandwidth and voila! Your very own hosting service is up and running! But be aware, that you also need to know how to configure everything properly! It is not easy as it looks like.

Build a server, install all the needed software, put it at a data center.
As for domains, you have to go through ICANN

It's not that expensive to build a server, I have a 2u IBM dual xeon machine in my closet i bought for 80 bucks.... granted i didnt build it, but oh well...
maintaining it will not be expensive if you can do it yourself, if you can't why are you messing with servers....
you are limited in many ways joining a reseller company, don't do it.
