Bright Spot on Venus

Wonder what caused this? Kind of interesting that it happened so soon after a new spot appeared on Jupiter.

English readers heard of it first in the issue of Nature dated August 2. Peculiar markings, as yet unexplained, were seen near the site of that outbreak during the next two oppositions

I'm not sure what it all means, but I don't think anything good will come of it........
