You normally don't need to configure cpanel to be able to use filezilla.

When you open filezilla look where it says

address > type ftp.frihost.net
username > your cpanel username
password > cpanel password , leave port as it is and hit enter.

Alternatively, you can add your site into FileZilla's Site Manager so you don't need to type everything in every time you use FTP.

The Site Manager is the first button on FileZilla's toolbar. When you click on it, the Site Manager box appears. Click on 'New Site' and add your FriHost FTP details:
Host: ftp.yoursite.frihost.net (replace 'yoursite.frihost.net' with your FriHost site address)
Logon Type: Normal (as opposed to Anonymous)
Username and Password: The same as your cPanel username and password

Click on 'Save and Exit' once you've typed this in. Now, whenever you want to connect to your FTP, just click the little down arrow next to the Site Manager toolbar icon and choose your site.

Hope this helps Smile

In FileZilla, add your FriHost site into the Site Manager, and click 'Advanced' (at the bottom, under "Delete"). Next, if 'Use Default' is ticked, then tick 'Use active mode' See if that works for you.

I don't use filezilla so you'll need these other nice people to sort out the advice for you:

- If you're firewalled you'll need to enable either PASV or passive mode

- set your filezilla host to: frihost.net
this will alieviate any DNS issues specific to your subdomain

- try using Cpanel's FTP manager.
-- create a new FTP account and set the path to: /

for that account enter into filezilla

user: thatname@yourdomain.frihost.net
pass: whateveryouset
