Support for retrieving external files?

daarklord
Hi my name is Daarklord. I am writing an app that retrieves an RSS xml file from an external site (the content of which I have permission to repost ofcourse) and displays it on my page. I had an account up and running at zymic.com (not that I like you guys less; it was just the first Google result) but when I tried to run my PHP, I found out that "To prevent stealing of content, the loading of files from different servers were disabled."

Pffft! So this bring me here. Does frihost allow this? For example, will this line of script work?

$contents=file_get_contents($rssurl); //fetch RSS feed

If so I shall be very happy and start posting about health care reform and weed legalization which will in some convoluted way get me free web hosting. (This has got to be the strangest way of signing up that I have ever seen Very Happy)

file_get_contents() is disabled, but you should be able to use "curl" instead.
