problems connecting with WLM

i recently got a new internet connection but i have to connect through a proxy with this one.the server is a Squid HTTP proxy server.Yahoo! messenger and skype and every other software that uses the internet is working fine bt WLM is refusing to log in.it gives the error code: 80048820.i tried troubleshooting the problem and they say there is a problem with the key ports.i am confused because the other messengers are not complaining.

P.S WLM worked for 2-3 days after i got my connection.after that it started acting up

Have you tried the "Solve Connection Problem" function? (I have just translated this, don't know what it is called in English)
Go to Tools - Options - Connection
There you see the state of your connection, below the feature I mean and below the Options for your Connection. Perhaps you have to configure it first.

no shit sherlock...im using a proxy...it's a bit obvious tht i have to configure the software to go thru the proxy...i did it init???...dsnt work...the other messengers are working fine
