Those are great shots. I've never thought of gulls as anything more than an annoying presence on the beach that steals your food, but these pictures show a very interesting side of the birds. What kind of equipment did you use to get these shots?

I started off really just practising shooting something that was moving or likely to move....by the end of the week I'd grown to like these fella's but was sending my family mad, snapping them all the time!

My camera's a Sony A300 dslr, and one which I'm still learning "the ropes" on.

I'm not overly fond of seagulls myself, because they're basically flying garbage disposals, but they certainly do look elegant and graceful when they're in flight.
Nice job on the photos. They look great and it appears you're really studying the bird in a bunch of ways. Good luck on your continued success.
