Ecliptic and the apparant path of the Sun

yagnyavalkya
I need some help here
What exactly is the Ecliptic
there are two definitions I have seen in the web
1.The ecliptic is the apparent path that the Sun traces out in the sky during the year
2.The path of the Earth's orbit around the Sun is called the ecliptic.
What is the lunar node
Is it the intersection of the apparent suns path viewed from the earth or the intersection of the orbit of the earth and moon?
Does the wobble of the moon or what is called the precession cause the orbital plane of the moon to alternate north and south ie does the north and south node change ?
