I'm stuck with choice of the Content Management System. Can you help?
Basic user, working html and css knowledge, phpBB3 administrator, but zero in php and anything similar. On a free shared server, so no knowledge of working with servers too, apart from managing the allotted space.
Started looking into CMS after catching myself dreading adding new material to the site, because this means the old files should be downloaded, new links added, uploaded again.
CMS are supposed to allow create article online and publish it, CMS will take care about linking, right?
Can you recommend the least troublesome and very reliable and secure free content management system, way simpler than Drupal, with instructions on a user friendly language (unlike Drupal), and not requiring php knowledge? In widest possible meaning of CMS, including WordPress and LightNEasy.
What it should:
1. Allow add new articles without manual linking old articles to a new.
2. Have categories, subcategories, sub-subcategories to store information categorized.
3. Do not archive information, this is not a news or blog, store all information as equally important.
4. Do not create "teasers"/polluters, only content and article.
5. Have Submit form with strong spam protection, equal to Akismet, or comments with spam protection (not only captcha). If comments, than moderated with possibility to turn them off at all.
6. Have nice free templates/themes (class of WordPress templates).
Desired, but not compulsory: do not be an overkill for a such simple task, as WordPress, Drupal and Joomla are.
