Help on Windows 7 Ultimate - installing IIS 6

I have installed Windows 7 RC and it is running well, and all the software I tried worked OK.

But until I tried to turn on IIS - installation error and unable to get IIS installed.

I need it for FTP and a development web site for ASP.NET.

I do not know if this is the place of under OS?

Anyone cares to help with Win 7 IIS installation?

The IIS installation has a fair bit more than XP and Win2003 server (IIS 5).

Help needed. With regards.

Have you tried it on Windows Components?
IIS functionality must be there. Activate it by using your genuine Windows7 dvd.

It would help if we knew what error you get.

You might not be able to install IIS 6 on Windows 7, IIS 7.5 is the version that's shipped with it.

Have you tried out Windows Server 2008 Web Edition?
