My friend's finally completed his youtube video, but now when he renders it, parts of it go black while still retaining the audio. The preview is fine though. He's made sure that the entire video is selected before rendering, and he's tried several different video formats as well. Any guess as to what's happening?
Sony Vegas Rendering Screwing Up
Ok this is really hard to pinpoint without specifics. What it sounds like is a codec problem. Does he have DivX or XviD. Due to licensing issues the codecs that come with windows pretty much suck, but Vegas should have given you some usable ones. If exporting as a DivX avi does not work, I would suggest exporting as an WMV file.
